Good boss or bad boss? Here is what The Headhunter expert thinks
Invited in the TV show “Pasdite ne Top Channel”, recruiting expert in The Headhunter, Iris Bajo, along with other participants in the show, discussed the subject of “Good boss or bad boss”, related closely to employer-employee relationship.
Asked about what it means to be a bad boss, Bajo answered by saying that there is not an absolute term for “bad”, but, when the supervisor does not know how to manage the staff, he is definitely a bad boss.
How is the adaption between the employer and employee treated during the recruiting process?
“We listen to what companies want, we advise them, and see the candidate’s personality, if it fits the required criteria” – said Bajo.
Asked about her position as a boss, Bajo said that at first she had a more aggressive approach as a leader, but with time, with experience, in a relationship with the third parties she became less aggressive.
Advise for all job seekers from Ms. Bajo was that when they look for a job, not to forget that besides receiving, they should give after all.
Meanwhile for the bosses in general, The Headhunter expert said they should respect the employees’ personality and not consider them as a property.

“Equality Index in Employment of the LGBTIQ Community” Kosovo 2018
The idea of the project is to assess companies how well they protect and respect the rights and dignity of LGBTIQ jobseekers and LGBTIQ employees, their employment, training and development and compliance with their practices in this area, with local legislation.
The press conference was held at the “National Library” in Pristina from 11:00.
Participants in the panel were Dren Xhema – The HeadHunter Kosovo, Dorina Laci – Project Manager (The HeadHunter Albania), Rina Braimi – Program Manager (CEL).
The gala evening was held at the Swiss Diamond Hotel from 18:30 on May 17, 2018, where over 100 characters from the most successful companies in Kosovo were present.
The index is launched for the first time in Kosovo. It rewards those companies that have devotedly put into practice diversity in the workplace. The index also presents a great opportunity for companies, consumers and legal authorities to promote best practices in the employment sector. This is an opportunity to communicate about education and raising awareness of discrimination in the workplace.
The Director General of The HeadHunter Career LLC, Mr. Elton ILIRJANI, emphasizes this opinion. “We see this issue every day in our company. For this reason, we have created the Index as a way to contribute, more specifically to improve the life of LGBTIQ community Albanians. By strengthening the competitive spirit in the private sector, we have created this Index to reward companies for their efforts at incorporating LGBTIQ people into the workplace and to encourage companies to receive ever-higher rewards in the coming years “.
In this first year of the initiative, Kosovar companies showed great interest in participating and a total of 65 companies from numerous industries have volunteered to participate in this research. Following a standardized format and methodology, The HeadHunter staff did the verification of policies and practices in conducting field interviews. Of the 65 participating companies, 3 (three) of them have accepted the three first awards and 5 (five) other companies, were awarded with certifications.
Companies that have received BRONZ awards are: Coca-Cola Hellenic, Baruti GmbH, FINCA Kosovo. And companies that have received the certifications are: MIK Group, TOK Services, Vala-Telecom of Kosovo, Illyria Insurance and NLB Bank.
Analysis of findings has shown that in the workplace policies, diversity, practices and programs are generally missing in Kosovo. If these are present, they generally do not include jobseekers and LGBTIQ employees. Companies have lack of policies, practices, and trained human resource managers on the topic of diversity at work.

In the meantime, the printing of different posters regarding the call for applying for the training courses that will be showed in different Universities and VTC-s is in process, in cooperation with the above-mentioned institutions. The aim is to make as visible as possible the project within young job-seekers, and increasing the awareness on the importance that tourism industry will have in future, as one of the principal pillars of Albanian economy.
This is an additional effort we are making, except of the Online process, that is proceeding well and is bringing every day a considerable number of candidate’s new CV-s.
Call for Albanian Jobseekers! Recruiters ask for his / her CV! They lie in many cases!
In these last days of 2017 I want to reopen a very important topic for Albanian jobseekers!
I was reading some articles online and found some charges for some “employment” companies in our labor market. I was very sorry to see and read an open mockery with Albanian jobseekers. Employment has been and will remain for some time a hot topic in our country. In many cases employment is used to make money, gain power, earn good, become humor, or deceive!
Albania is the last country in the Balkans region with regard to the control that the state should make to the employment companies. In our country we see employment companies that open within 1 hour, when to get a license in Macedonia, our company took more than 1 year and after 4 years of activity providing human resources consultancy. I’m not suggesting that in Albania to be so long the process, but at least there is a line of appreciation and integrity representing these people who create these companies. The employment companies will have to have at least 3 people on their payroll at the opening of the company and have a special education, have a bank guarantee and another state monitoring process.
The head of the office should have transparent and approved experience from previous employers, because if a recruiter lies in his CV, imagine how reliable he / she is and what the product will bring to companies and candidates.
There are scandals, and then the owners of the employment companies that have stolen Albanians are arrested, others are being beaten, others who violate the contracts and open their failed fungus based on fraud, others steal the candidates with this “administrative fee” wonders happen in our country, and generally, with very small exceptions, all the owners and executives of these companies have the lowest ethics in the market and very much doubt they have read a book in their lives, and think they can read one CV? Understand it? To evaluate someone? To analyze someone’s moral when they are self-immoral and steal and continue to steal what is called the “intellectual property” of those who work?
I do not want to stretch anymore, because the market is full of “bad things” but I want to give some advice to jobseekers:
- Before interviewing a job company seeking to show the activity license, you must be a job company, at least two years in the market.
- Search a recruiter’s CV and search the market if they have lied about their CV, there are many who lie about their experiences. I’m not telling you anything like a recruiter, believe me!
- Do not accept paying any Lek. The law prohibits the payment of jobseekers. If you are asked for money, report to the police.
- Look for transparency in the process, and do not want to be just a number.
- Look for information on the terms of the contract you will have with your next employer.
- Ask the employer for details if the company for which you are recruiting is serious and does not clean the money, does not cheat on salaries and is not in bankruptcy. Do a search before deciding to get hired.
- The smaller and the younger you are the employer, the more risks you have to hire a fraudulent or unedited company, or the debt, because small and new employment companies want money and make deals with any company knocking at the door.
- Companies that hire out: treat contracts with state offices and provide information to your lawyer. Do not sign immediately. There are serious companies who hire out, but there are also small companies cheating to make money. Do not fall prey to tricks and dramas in your life.
- Know your rights as citizens of the Republic of Albania! Do not make numbers to enrich others who do not deserve it.
- Do not accept to make interviews with cameras or at least be clearly marked as you are recording.
- Do not accept to become actors of any instant video or production. The recruitment process should be serious and unbiased and cautious.
In conclusion, being in this market for many years, apologizing for some “cheating” colleagues who use you, it hurts my soul to look at a former cleaner (with all due respect for this honorable profession) to be recruiting sorry to see a deceitful after a phantom company stealing money and deceiving you with outsourcing, sorry that there are recruits that just are not, and you decide your future!
I am here, report to me every event or injustice, I will be near you at every step against these robbers and robbers, together we will report to the police, together we will go to the state offices.
Denonch now and search your career clean and safe!

Albanian stewardess in Kuwait – Zamira’s testimony and breaking certain myths
In today’s show “Mesditë” in Vizion Plus, where invited were the founder of The Headhunter Elton Ilirjani and Sokol Kondi as part of the company staff, Zamira Demollari, one of the many girls selected from Headhunter to become a stewardess for Kuwait Airways, considered this job “a once in a lifetime opportunity”, a job that she got thanks to her own merits and the opportunity offered by The Headhunter.
In this show, Zamira also testified that The Headhunter is concrete evidence of breaking certain myths that may characterize certain employing companies in Albania, some of which are “ghost companies” that make job seekers lose faith in finding a job.
Firstly, Zamira declared that she managed to find a job without anyone to help her, right after her first application in www.karriera.al portal, owned by The Headhunter ltd.
Second, one should keep in mind that The Headhunter does not ask for any payments or fees from the job seekers, for the job they get. The Headhunter offers this service for free.
Meanwhile, the recruiting process for other stewardesses continues, therefore all interested candidates should apply before February 28th 2017 at info@headhunter.al

“Thank you for making my dream come true”
Through an email we received on our electronic address info@theheadhunter.com, one of our candidates, who were selected to be trained by the prestigious fly company Kuwait Airways, gave us the good news that she has been employed and started to work as a fly attendant in Kuwait City.
Krisela Leka, as some other girls whom attended the selection process in Tirana nearly six months ago, was doubtful at the beginning about the real opportunity that such experience could give to her, maybe even for the fact that some Albanian recruitment companies often abuses and lies to the job-seekers.
But Krisela’s and other girls case, who were sent by The Headhunter in Kuwait is a success story, characterized by professionalism and that will continue with a lot of other recruitments in the same field, not only in Albania but even in other countries in the Balkans, where we are present.
As Krisela’s testified in the e-mail she send to us, she wrote us very gratefully: “I am writing this e-mail to thank The Headhunter company for the great opportunity that gave to me to accomplish mya dream to wark as a fly attendant. We have just successfully completed the training and we vahe signed a one year contract with Kuwait Airways. Also, I have just done my first flight an I feel very happy and emotional. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I wish a lott of success to all of The Headhunter staff”.
Sincerely yours, Krisela Leka.”
We wish also to Krisela a lot of further achievements in her new career and we feel proud that with our devotion and efficiency we have served and will serve the job-seekers in Albania and other countries, where we operate.
